How to Set Up & Use the Goat Bot Unicut H1 Robotic Mower

Tired of spending your weekends pushing a heavy mower? The Goat Bot Unicut H1 is here to reclaim your free time. This advanced robotic lawn mower uses AI visual recognition and RTK precision GPS to autonomously map, navigate, and cut your grass.

But how do you get started? This guide provides a comprehensive, step-by-step process for installing, setting up, and operating your Goat Bot Unicut H1 to ensure you get the perfect cut with a single click.

Unboxing and Initial Preparation

Before you begin the setup process, ensure you have all the components and prepare your lawn.

1. What's in the Box?

The packaging contains the essentials for your robotic lawnmower's operation:

  • The Robotic Mower (Unicut H1)
  • A Charging Station
  • An RTK Station (Satellite Receiver Base Station)
  • Charging Station Charger and Extension Cable (10m)
  • RTK Station Adapter and Extension Cable (10m)
  • Installation Kits (including nails/screws and a hex key)

2. Prepare the Working Area

For safe operation and accurate mapping, you must remove all potential debris from the working area. This includes:

  • Stones
  • Sticks
  • Wires
  • Bones
  • Toys and other debris

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

The Unicut H1 uses an RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) station for precise navigation. Proper installation of both the RTK and charging station is critical for performance.

Step 1: Install the RTK Station

The RTK station is the satellite receiver and requires a clear line of sight to function correctly.

  1. Choose the Right Location: Select an open area, not too close to high buildings, tall trees, or walls. Avoid areas with strong electromagnetic interference (e.g., near high-voltage lines).
  2. Set the Height: The station must be installed at a height of more than 1.5 meters from the ground. Unfold the base fork, insert it firmly into the soil, and slide the antenna tube onto it.
  3. Power It Up: Connect the RTK station to its power adapter using the provided extension cable.

Step 2: Install the Charging Station

The charging station is your mower's home, where it will automatically return to recharge,

  1. Find a Level Spot: Place it on relatively level ground, not on a slope.
  2. Ensure Clearance: Install it at least 5 meters away from your house and large trees, and more than 30 cm from the edge of the lawn.
  3. Secure and Power: Use the supplied nails to secure it to the ground. Plug the charging station into a power socket.

Initial Setup and Operation

Step 3: Activating Your Goat Bot Mower

  1. Place the mower on the charging station to ensure it has power.
  2. Press the Power button on the mower.
  3. You will be prompted to enter a password. The default password can be found in the user manual. You can rotate the control knob to enter it.
  4. The mower is now activated and ready for configuration.

Step 4: Connecting to the GOAT BOT App

For full functionality, software updates, and remote control, connect the mower to the app.

  1. Download the App: Search for "GOAT BOT" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Connect to WiFi: The mower must be connected to your home's 2.4G or 5G WiFi network. The default device WiFi password can be found in the user manual.
  3. Pair the Device: Open the app, follow the in-app instructions to "Add Device," and use Bluetooth for the initial pairing process.
Manage your machine effortlessly with the intuitive app anytime, anywhere.

Step 5: The Most Important Step - Setting the Virtual Boundary

Unlike traditional robotic mowers that use a boundary wire, the Goat Bot H1 uses AI and the app to create a virtual boundary. This is a key feature, so take your time.

1. Start Mapping: In the app, select the option to create a new map. The mower will be controlled remotely via the app during this process.

2. Define the Main Boundary:

  • Find a suitable starting point.
  • Follow the app's instructions to guide the mower (remotely) along the very edge of your lawn.
  • Ensure you follow a straight line and use smooth turning angles of no smaller than 90°.
  • Walk the entire perimeter and return to the starting point to close the loop.

3. Create Channels and No-Go Zones:

  • Channels: If you have a subzone separated by a path, use the app to create a narrow "channel" for the mower to travel through.
  • Off-Limit Islands: Use the app to draw boundaries around flower beds, trees, or ponds. Again, use smooth angles greater than 90°.

Pro Tip: During this boundary-setting process, the mower's obstacle avoidance system is temporarily deactivated to ensure it cuts right up to the edge. Make sure the mower's blades are facing the outside of the boundary for a clean cut.

Daily Operation and Key Settings

Once the map is created, your Unicut H1 is ready for work.
